Vallejo - Rust colors and washes

A look at the new rust color paint set from Vallejo. The set contains various shades of rust colors and I took some time to test a few of the colors, as well as the two enamel washes. The difference between this set and the standard model colors from Vallejo is that these are from the Model Air range of paints and so they are pre-thinned to be used with the air brush.
As was expected the colors are all spot on as far as the tones go, and of course they all dry to a dead flat/matt finish. The washes are very thin and as with the acrylic colors they are accurate in the color and dry to a nice flat finish. the washes are acrylics and not enamel bases but you still have lots of time to work with the washes, same as you would with enamels or oils.
Some testing on the HST rust bucket. Most of the chipping was done with the supplied chipping medium, and then with a brush using the rust colors.
